Porsche Engine Rebuild
At Bogannam European Automotive, every Porsche engine rebuild begins with measurement, inspection, and qualification of every critical component. We work with both classic air-cooled and modern water-cooled Porsche engines, applying the same precision-driven approach to each.
Engine cases, crankshafts, connecting rods, pistons, cylinders, cylinder heads, and valvetrain components are carefully measured and evaluated against specification. Clearances and wear are verified—not assumed—before any component is approved for reuse.
From classic air-cooled engines to modern water-cooled powerplants, our goal is simple: measure, quantify, and qualify every component before the engine goes back together.

Porsche 356 Super 90
This air-cooled engine received a complete mechanical rebuild and cosmetic restoration in-house. Every component was carefully disassembled, cleaned, inspected, measured, and qualified before reassembly.
Rather than simply replacing assemblies, we restored the engine with an emphasis on preserving its original components and period-correct appearance. Original hardware was cleaned and replated to its proper finish, while serviceable components—including the distributor, carburetors, fuel system components, and related engine accessories—were completely rebuilt and restored.
The result is more than a rebuilt engine: it is a carefully restored powerplant where mechanical integrity, originality, proper finishes, and attention to detail are carried through every component.

3.8L Performance Engine Rebuild
This Porsche engine received a complete rebuild with a 3.8-liter displacement conversion using LN Engineering cylinders, providing increased displacement while maintaining the precision and reliability expected from a properly built air-cooled engine.
The build also incorporates a Carrera Super Sport camshaft profile, selected to complement the increased displacement and provide stronger torque and improved power throughout the usable RPM range while retaining excellent street manners.
Every component was cleaned, inspected, measured, and qualified prior to assembly, with critical clearances and tolerances verified throughout the build. The result is a carefully engineered 3.8L combination that blends classic Porsche character with increased displacement, responsiveness, and performance.

Porsche 964 RS Roadster 3.8L
This Porsche 964 RS America is prepared and ready to receive its newly rebuilt engine. Following a comprehensive engine build, the powerplant is fully assembled and prepared for installation, marking the final stage of bringing this iconic air-cooled Porsche back to the road.
At Bogannam European Automotive, every engine installation is approached with the same attention to detail as the rebuild itself—from proper fitment and connection of supporting systems to final adjustments, testing, and verification before the vehicle is returned to service.

Porsche M96
This Porsche M96 engine is undergoing a complete teardown, inspection, and rebuild. Every component is carefully cleaned, measured, and evaluated against factory specifications before being approved for reuse or replaced.
Particular attention is given to the M96’s critical areas, including the cylinder bores, pistons, crankshaft, connecting rods, bearings, timing system, cylinder heads, and lubrication system. Our goal is not simply to reassemble the engine, but to identify the root cause of wear or failure and address it properly.
With precision measuring equipment, specialized tooling, and access to Porsche technical information, each M96 rebuild is approached with the same standard: measure, quantify, and qualify every component before final assembly.

Generator Restoration
This original Bosch generator received a complete restoration, preserving its period-correct appearance while returning the unit to proper operating condition. The generator was fully disassembled, cleaned, inspected, and rebuilt with new bearings and brushes, along with careful inspection of the armature, commutator, and internal electrical components.
The housing and related components were refinished as appropriate, including painting and replating of original hardware and finishes to closely replicate the factory appearance. The completed generator was then carefully reassembled and prepared for installation—combining originality, functionality, and attention to detail throughout the restoration process.

Porsche 912 Volume & Displacement Measurement
Every Porsche 912 engine rebuild begins with careful measurement, not assumptions. Combustion chamber volume, piston dome volume, cylinder displacement, and deck height are precisely measured and documented to determine the engine’s true compression ratio.
By measuring and qualifying each component individually, we can properly match the engine’s configuration and ensure consistent compression across all four cylinders—an essential step in achieving reliable performance, efficiency, and longevity from a properly built Porsche air-cooled engine.
